LYNNWOOD — Detectives are looking for a murder suspect who was scheduled to surrender to police today but failed to keep the appointment.
Detectives believe Carl Mattos, 48, choked and killed Dennis Brockman at the victim’s Lynnwood mobile home in 2006, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
Another suspect in the case pleaded guilty earlier this week to conspiracy to commit second-degree murder.
Mattos may be driving a light blue, four-door Volkswagen. He is described as six feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He is bald and has brown eyes.
Mattos has been seen in the Lynnwood area recently, but his whereabouts now are unknown, Hover said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about Mattos to call the Sheriff’s tip line at 425-388-3845.
