Q A fad with young people is having blue lights on their cars, some on the hood, some on the roof. This really looks rad, but correct me if I am wrong, but I thought it was illegal for private citizens to have blue or red lights on the front of their vehicles. The other night I pulled over and stopped when I saw one of them coming up behind me.

A Trooper Lance Ramsay with the Washington State Patrol said for those individuals on the road who display unauthorized colored lights, such as the ones that you see on the hoods of vehicles, it is an infraction that carries a $101 fine.
