Door-to-door sales people might be casing your home

EVERETT — Police are warning people in the Everett area about a door-to-door scam involving vacuum sales.

A group of three men and a woman has been knocking on doors, claiming to be independent vacuum sales contractors, according to the Everett Police Department.

The suspects are using a maroon 1993 Ford van. Detectives believe they are using the ruse to case homes for later burglaries.

Reported incidents so far happened once on Oct. 28 and twice this past weekend.

People should call 911 if the group knocks on their door.
