LAKE STEVENS — A Lake Stevens man was injured when a vehicle hit him as he walked across westbound U.S. 2 late Tuesday evening.
The man, 56, was walking west along the trestle around 9:43 p.m. and tried to cross the lanes near the Highway 204 interchange when an Audi A4 sedan driven by a 52-year-old woman hit him, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The cause of the collision was under investigation, but alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors, a state patrol memo said.
The man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. The driver was not injured.
