SEATTLE — Police said a woman intentionally struck two teenage girls with her car after an argument Wednesday outside Chief Sealth International High School in West Seattle.
The woman drove away and police were looking for a black Honda.
The 17- and 18-year-old girls were taken to Harborview Medical Center. The 18-year-old was initially listed as critical but KOMO-TV reported her condition was upgraded to serious. The 17-year-old was less seriously hurt.
Police and witnesses said the encounter started with an argument about the driver’s dog, which apparently had gotten loose from the woman’s nearby home and ran up to one of the girls as they walked to school.
