STANWOOD — Officials on Monday identified a man who died after a head-on wreck last week near Stanwood.
Harold Wayne Kirkland, 67, of Stanwood, died Thursday at an Everett hospital, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s office.
Kirkland was driving westbound on Wednesday on Kayak Point Road when he crossed the center line and struck a sport utility vehicle head-on, officials said. No one in the SUV was seriously injured.
Investigators believe Kirkland may have had a medical problem that contributed to the crash. Speed and alcohol did not appear to be factors.
A report on the cause of Kirkland’s death is pending.
