This little gem in the blotters is what we call “brake-checking.”
On 11-03-10, a two vehicle collision occurred … when a driver believed she was being tailgated, slammed on her brakes, causing this vehicle to slam into the back of her.
This is why you don’t do it:
One driver was issued an infraction for Negligent Driving 2nd and a charge for Intermediate License with passengers under 20 years of age.
Especially if you’re an intermediate driver flouting the limitations of your license. Especially then.
