OLYMPIA – Dave Earling, a former Edmonds city councilman and Sound Transit director, will soon join the powerful board that deals with land-use disputes in Snohomish, King, Pierce and Kitsap counties.
Gov. Chris Gregoire on Friday named Earling to the Central Puget Sound Growth Management Hearings Board.
Earling is currently a senior fellow with the Cascadia Center at the Discovery Institute and previously served on the Puget Sound Regional Council’s transportation policy board.
He will begin the job Aug. 10. His appointment is through June 30, 2012.
