ANCHORAGE, Alaska – A sharp earthquake jolted downtown Anchorage early today.
The Alaska Tsunami Warning Center in Palmer said the preliminary magnitude was 4.8 and the quake centered 10 miles south of here. It hit at 8:19 a.m.
There was no immediate word on damage or injuries.
