EDMONDS — Edmonds police arrested two former Edmonds-Woodway High School students Wednesday who allegedly phoned in a bomb threat to the school.
A school employee received the call at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday from a person who said there was a bomb at the school, said Edmonds Sgt. Jeffrey Jones.
The school was searched for unusual packages, and nothing was found, police said. During the search, the call was traced to a pay phone. Edmonds police spoke to an employee of a business near the phone, who remembered two teen-age males using it, Jones said.
Officers found two boys matching the description in the area, and police said one admitted making the call to the school. Both were taken into custody for further investigation of the incident.
