LYNNWOOD – Edmonds Community College President Jack Oharah today announced plans to retire at the end of the year.
Oharah, 66, has led the college since 1996.
The college will begin its search for a replacement in April. College Trustees will appoint a committee made up of employees to conduct the search.
He said he plans to move to Kansas, where his family lives and where he’s built his dream home.
Since he became president, the college has nearly doubled the number of students and added five buildings.
“I’m very proud of this college and the people in it,” he said, in a prepared statement.
