EVERETT — Crash experts with the Washington State Patrol are continuing to investigate a Monday afternoon accident in south Everett involving a car and an Edmonds school bus.
The accident sent five people to hospitals.
The bus driver, 61, was released from a local hospital, an Edmonds School District spokeswoman said Tuesday.
Medical information about the four people in the other car — a 1985 Volvo — was not available Tuesday.
Troopers said the bus was southbound on the shoulder of Highway 99 near Airport Road when the car, which had stopped in the center median, attempted to turn left in front of the bus.
Cars in other southbound lanes had stopped to allow the Volvo to turn, according to a State Patrol memo.
No students were on the bus at the time of the collision shortly after 3 p.m.
