The Edmonds Senior Center held its “Flight to the Future” gala dinner and auction on May 5 at the Historic Flight Foundation. The sold-out event raised a record $87,000, which will help fund programs while the new Edmonds Waterfront Center is built.
The annual E Award — for energy, enthusiasm and effort, as well as heart — was presented to John Osterhaug, who has volunteered at the senior center for over six years and been instrumental in helping plan the new building. A retired electrical engineer, Osterhaug serves as president of the senior center board.
