Woodland Park Zoo took possession, short term, of an endangered turtle found ambling down an Edmonds road. A kind family picked up the Western Pond Turtle, a species being studied by the zoo.
It was a good time for the healthy turtle to be captured. Today a batch of the shell livers will be deposited on Whidbey Island to fend in nature, according to the Woodland Park Zoo Blog.
