Jennifer Leigh Sutherland and Derek Michael Mansur of Camano Island plan a March 10 wedding in Monarch Beach, Calif.
Their parents are Debbie LaMar of East Hampton, Conn., and the late Richard Sutherland, and Michael and Kimberly Aikens and Michael Mansur, all of Camano Island.
The couple were spending a quiet evening at home when Derek proposed. He was planning to ask Jennifer to marry him two weeks later, on her birthday. He couldn’t wait. The wedding is planned for Southern California, where Jennifer grew up.
Jennifer works at La Conner Medical Center. Derek works at Smokey Point Concrete.
