ENTIAT — When the captain at the Chelan County Fire District heard a familiar address over the scanner, he had an extra incentive to get to the scene of the fire in Entiat as quickly as possible.
It was his mom’s house.
KPQ Radio Wenatchee reports that Captain Lee Jones arrived at his mother’s place at about 10:30 p.m. last night to find smoke billowing from the single-family residence.
The captain’s mother was outside the house.
Jones told KPQ that she was treated and released from Central Washington Hospital. Jones had a special thanks to all the firefighters that responded to that call.
