SPOKANE – Escaping from Geiger Corrections Center was probably not very satisfying for Jeffrey A. Heatwole.
Heatwole, 39, facing charges of assault, harassment, motor vehicle theft and malicious mischief, had casts on both arms Thursday when police officers John Gately and Chris Lewis spotted him at an intersection and arrested him without incident.
According to police, Heatwole told officers he broke both arms early on the morning of April 5 when he smashed a window and went over the fence around the Spokane County lockup.
Heatwole, the subject of two protection orders, also had numerous cuts that he said were from razor wire on the fence.
