KELSO — A 63-year-old woman was treated for difficulty breathing after she was affected by smoke from a nearby fire in Kelso.
Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue said the woman was evacuated early Sunday from an apartment building near the fire in an abandoned home.
The fire went to two alarms because of the threat to the apartment building.
The house was a total loss. Neighbors said it was frequently occupied by transients.
