Abas Hersi, a student at Everett Community College, was named the 2018 Congressional App Challenge winner.
Hersi’s free app, Swipiatry, helps students find mental health support. He won for Congressional District 2 and received $250 in Amazon Web Services credits.
The annual Congressional App Challenge “aims to help maintain U.S. competitiveness by proactively inspiring youth to pursue crucial STEM skills.”
