Honor Dave Nofziger
Snohomish County Fire District 1 will honor Lt. Dave Nofziger today as he retires after 42 years of volunteer service.
The retirement ceremony for the Edmonds area resident is set to begin 9 a.m. at Lake Serene Fire Station 23, 4323 Serene Way, Lynnwood.
An open house will follow until 11 a.m.
Anyone can attend.
Marines to collect for Toys for Tots: U.S. Marines are set to collect donations at local grocery stores for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Campaign.
Marines will be at Haggen Food &Pharmacy stores in Arlington, Marysville and Stanwood from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Dec. 4.
They are also scheduled to be at the TOP Food &Drug stores in Edmonds, Everett and Snohomish at the same times on both days.
The stores are collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys through Dec. 17 for Toys for Tots.
