Five former athletes, one coach, one administrator and four teams will be inducted into the Everett Community College Athletic Hall of Fame at a banquet next month.
The athletes are Ed Bucklin (golf), Dave Holden (basketball), George Holland (golf), Randy Montgomery (football, track) and Nancy Snyder (field hockey, tennis, basketball).
Also selected were coach Joan Dugger (field hockey, tennis, basketball, softball) and administrator Jim Ennis, and the 1967 football team, the 1964-65 women’s tennis team and the 1947 and 1948 men’s golf teams.
The inductees, who will be honored at a May 25 banquet, were chosen by a committee of community members, coaches and Everett CC leaders. Next month’s dinner, which is open to the public — dinner is $50 and reservations are required — features keynote speaker Slick Watts, a former Seattle SuperSonics star.

Track and field
Clackamas Community College freshman Katie Higgins was named the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Women’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week for April 4-10.
Higgins, a graduate of Glacier Peak High School in Snohomish, produced personal bests in both the discus (129 feet, 7 inches) and the shot put (37-1) at the Pacific Northwest Relays held April 8 in Oregon City, Ore.
Higgins’ performance helped the Cougars capture first place in the women’s team standings. The meet drew athletes from Clackamas CC, the University of Portland, Warner Pacific College, Corban College, Evergreen State and the University of Oregon Running Club.
