EVERETT – The Everett Public Library will celebrate the end of its Summer Reading Program with Librarypalooza, a family street fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. The event will be at the library’s main branch in the 2700 block of Hoyt Avenue in downtown Everett.
Hot dogs, sno-cones, face painting, crafts and entertainment acts are included in the free event.
More than 30 speakers and entertainers are scheduled to attend. They will speak on different topics, including rock climbing, kayaking, genealogy, scrapbooking, rocks and fossils, animal care, gardening, and more.
Entertainers include Linda Severt’s Juggletunes, Castro the Magician, the Panduo Steel Band and Bob Bailey III – the comedy juggler. Balloon artist Mark Wilson and stilt-walker Janet Rayor will mingle with the crowd. Visitors can tour a city fire truck or visit Pegasus, touted as the oldest bookmobile in the world.
Lunch may also be purchased from Espresso Americano.
Librarypalooza is sponsored by the Everett Public Library’s Koffski Fund, the Friends of the Everett Public Library, Rotary International and the Everett Woman’s Book Club.
