Everett Community College Foundation raises $91,000

EVERETT — The Everett Community College Foundation raised $91,000 in its annual breakfast fundraiser Tuesday.

The money will be used to support student scholarships and college programs. In the 2014-2015 school year, the foundation gave out 170 scholarships, but also turned away more than 300 students.

The scholarships cover about 20 percent of the cost of students’ education.

More than 475 people attended the breakfast Tuesday.
