EVERETT — The Everett City Council is scheduled to vote Wednesday on whether to approve a housing project for homeless people in the Pinehurst-Beverly Park and Glacier View neighborhoods.
The city wants to build a 70-unit apartment building for chronically homeless people on the site of its fire training center on Berkshire Drive, a block from Evergreen Way.
Neighbors have made numerous complaints about the city’s choice of location.
The vote at Wednesday’s meeting would allow the city to move forward with a required environmental review of the project.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Historic City Hall building, 3002 Wetmore Ave.
