EVERETT — The downtown Everett Farmer’s Market has been canceled Sunday due to a wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service.
The advisory — in effect from 6 a.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday — called for southeasterly winds in Everett ranging from 20 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph.
“We do not take cancellations lightly, so please know we have done our due diligence in making this call,” market organizers wrote Saturday, adding that the final market of the season is set for Oct 31.
The final market will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wetmore and Hewitt Avenues in downtown Everett. A special shopping time for seniors and high-risk customers is from 10:30 to 11 a.m.
