EVERETT — Everett High School principal Sally Lancaster has been bumped upstairs, and as of July 1 will be a new assistant superintendent for Everett Public Schools.
Lancaster has worked for the district since 1998 as a teacher, teacher-librarian, instructional technology coordinator and assistant principal before taking the top job at Sequoia High School in 2005 and at Everett High in 2011.
She has a doctorate in Education from Washington State University, a master’s in education from the University of Washington and her bachelor’s from Central Washington University.
Lancaster replaces Peter Scott, who is moving to become the associate superintendent of curriculum, assessment and special programs.
The district has begun searching for a replacement for Lancaster and plans to transition gradually between now and the end of the school year.
