EVERETT — A fire heavily damaged a house south of Everett Mall Way late Friday but caused no injuries, the Everett Fire Department reported.
The house on 10000 block of 7th Avenue SE is thought to be abandoned, Assistant Fire Marshal Eric Hicks said. Crews were dispatched there about 10 p.m. and spent about 20 minutes containing the blaze. By the time it was out, two bedrooms had fire damage and the rest of the house sustained smoke damage.
The cause remained under investigation Saturday.
