Everett kitchen fire damages apartment

EVERETT — A kitchen fire reportedly caused about $10,000 damage in Everett early Monday morning.

A fire broke out around 6 a.m. in an apartment in the 5100 block of College Avenue, officials said. Everett firefighters helped everyone get out of the apartment and extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.

The fire was contained to the kitchen, but there was smoke damage throughout the apartment. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
