EVERETT — An 83-year-old Everett man died Wednesday in a hit-and-run crash. Detectives need help finding the driver who hit the man.
Soong H. Park was walking in the 900 block of 132nd Street SW around 7 p.m. Tuesday when a car hit him, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The driver, believed to be in a light-colored sedan, fled east on 132nd.
The car is expected to have significant damage to the bumper, grill and hood, according to the sheriff’s office.
Park was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He died there Wednesday.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Park Thursday. His cause of death was blunt-force injuries.
In an email to The Daily Herald, a neighbor said Park was “always friendly with a smile and a wave.” The neighbor called the death an “incredible loss.”
