EVERETT – A 44-year-old Everett man was seriously injured when the sport utility vehicle he was driving rolled several times on I-5 early Sunday morning.
The accident happened around 2:20 a.m., while the man drove south on I-5. As he approached the 128th Street exit, he made a lane change and apparently lost control of the Chevrolet Suburban he was driving, according to the State Patrol. The SUV came to a rest on its wheels on the right shoulder.
The driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was in serious condition Sunday evening, according to the nursing supervisor. There were no passengers or other vehicles involved.
State Patrol Trooper Kirk Rudeen said alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash.
