EVERETT — An Everett man was fatally injured in a fall from a second-story window late Monday just as police arrived to question him about assaulting a neighbor.
The man, 40, got into an argument with the neighbor earlier that night, Everett police Sgt. Boyd Bryant said. Officers who came to his home in the 2400 block of Maple Avenue to investigate were just opening the door to his bedroom when they saw him climbing out the window, Bryant said.
None of the officers had talked to the man before he fell shortly after 11 p.m., Bryant said. Witnesses said the man had been drinking.
Everett paramedics treated the man and took him to Providence Everett Medical Center, where he died Tuesday morning, Bryant said.
