EVERETT – Police said an Everett man is in critical condition at a local hospital after being stabbed Monday.
Someone called police just before 6 a.m. Monday after finding the 30-year-old on the ground in a parking lot in the 400 block of 85th Place SW, Everett police Sgt. Jerry Strieck said.
The man, 30, was taken to a local hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition, Strieck said.
Police have not yet been able to interview the victim, he said.
Detectives do not believe the stabbing was random. It’s unknown if it was gang related, Strieck said.
The stabbing occurred near W. Casino Road, an area where the city has been fighting street crime connected to drug trafficking and gangs.
Anyone with information is asked to call Everett police detective Tim O’Hara at 425-257-8480.
