EVERETT — A man on a motorized scooter died Saturday night after a driver hit him while he crossed Everett Avenue.
The Everett man, 78, was heading south near Rainier Avenue around 6:30 p.m. when the collision happened. The driver stayed at the scene, and the there were no signs of impairment by the driver, Everett Police Department spokesman Lt. Robert Goetz said.
There were no arrests, infractions cited or charges recommended, Goetz said.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim and determine cause and manner of death.
