EVERETT — A man was rescued from the water near Jetty Island on Thursday night.
He had been fishing in his boat around 7 p.m. when he fell overboard, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. He was overcome by hypothermia.
His fishing partner, a boy, was unable to pull him back into the boat.
The U.S. Coast Guard became aware of the situation and notified local authorities, who brought the man and the boy to shore. Their ages and other information were not available Friday.
