Residents today will have a chance to reflect on the events of the past week and honor those who died in the terrorist attacks during a public ceremony set for noon today in Everett.
Several hundred people are expected to attend, officials said.
Naval Station Everett, Snohomish County and the city of Everett have joined together for the noon service in the courtyard between the county administration building and courthouse, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
The Northwest region Navy band will play, and a choral group from Edmonds Community College will perform. In addition, Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Sandi Anderson also will perform. Anderson composed a song, "Angels Fly Home," to express her feelings about the tragedy. (Listen to the song online by clicking here.)
The color guard will be composed of Navy, Everett police and Snohomish County sheriff’s personnel.

Officials expect military planes to fly overhead during the ceremony.
Snohomish County Labor Council members will participate in the ceremony and the placement of wreaths.
At the conclusion of the ceremony union members are invited to leave flowers and flags on the Workers Memorial on the west side of the courthouse in remembrance of the hundreds of working men and women who perished.
Hotel and restaurant employees, communications workers, emergency services personnel, postal workers and those from many other professions died as a result of four hijacked planes being intentionally crashed at East Coast sites last Tuesday, said Mike Sells, secretary-treasurer of the labor council.
