EVERETT — Police caught up with a felon accused of ramming a patrol car with a stolen Subaru on 41st Street on Tuesday morning.
The 21-year-old Lake Stevens man has a history of skipping court dates and fleeing authorities, according to the arrest report.
The crash happened about 11:20 a.m. Officers were following the stolen car without lights and sirens. The police department says it never initiated a pursuit.
The officer whose unmarked car was struck suffered minor neck injuries. The Subaru then took off southbound on I-5.
The man reportedly had a pistol in his waistband when another Everett officer spotted him in the area of Broadway and 18th Street that evening. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
The suspect was being held Wednesday on suspicion of assault, hit-and-run, attempting to elude, possessing a stolen car and illegally carrying a firearm. He was driving with a suspended license and is known to use heroin, police allege.
