EVERETT – Police arrested an Everett man this morning after he climbed onto a roof of someone else’s house and refused to come down.
Officers suspect that the man was drunk. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of trespassing and disorderly conduct.
Police were called just before 10 a.m. to a house in the 2100 block of Rucker Avenue. The man, 29, was on top of a 30-foot high roof and refusing to come down, Everett police Sgt. John DeRousse said. Officers were able to persuade the man to climb down to a balcony.
When it looked as if the man was going to try to climb back onto the roof, officers grabbed him and pulled him inside, DeRousse said. Everett firefighters also were on scene to assist with the situation.
It’s unclear why the man climbed on to the roof.
