EVERETT — Everett police arrested a man early Monday for investigation of a vehicular homicide involving drugs or alcohol, police said.
Just before 4 a.m., officers responded to the scene in the 700 block of East Marine View Drive and saw one person outside a single crashed car and one person still inside, officer Ora Hamel said.
Police began life-saving measures on the man outside the vehicle. That man, believed to be in his 20s, died at the scene, according to police.
The other man, suspected to be the driver, was transported to Providence Medical Center Everett. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail later that morning, Hamel said.
The investigation closed the road in both directions from Butler to Hawthorne streets, a little south of the Broadway and Highway 529 interchange.
