EVERETT — Police in Everett released a video Friday of thieves caught on tape breaking into a vehicle to steal telecommunication repair equipment.
The theft occurred around 7:30 a.m. May 10 in the parking lot of the Extended Stay America Hotel in south Everett.
The tape shows the one member of the group, his head wrapped in a white bandana, breaking into a Ford Expedition and stealing nearly $5,000 worth of equipment.
The video shows the three suspects driving into the parking lot in what appears to be a dark red Chevrolet pickup.
There appears to be three people involved in the theft: the driver, the passenger sitting in the middle, and the other passenger who broke into the vehicle, Everett Police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
If anyone has any information about the incident, they are asked to call the Everett Police Department tip line at 425-257–8404.
