EVERETT — Police say a gun-wielding robber is getting more aggressive as he targets businesses in north and central Everett.
Detectives believe the same man is responsible for holding up a gas station and a Lover’s Package store and breaking into a Radio Shack in recent weeks. In one heist, he pointed a handgun at an employee.
“It’s important for us to identify this guy,” Everett Police officer Aaron Snell said.
The first robbery happened at 5:17 a.m. Nov. 23 at the AM/PM at 4030 Rucker Ave. The suspect put his hands in his pockets, implying he had a weapon, Snell said. He demanded cash, cigarettes and the clerk’s phone.
The next day, Lover’s Package on Broadway was struck. The suspect walked around for a long time before approaching the clerk. He pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun from his waistband and ordered the clerk to turn over money. He ran off with the cash and stolen merchandise.
On Dec. 2, two men broke into the Radio Shack at 7424 Evergreen Way. The burglary was recorded on surveillance video. One of the men seen on the video matched the description of the suspect in the earlier heists.
The robber is white and in his 20s. He has acne or sores on his face and a distinctive square-shaped jaw. He wore black sneakers with white soles and a grey, flat-rimmed baseball cap with a light green Under Armour logo.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Everett Police Department tipline at 425-257-8450 or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 800-222-8477.
