EVERETT – Ronald D. Bowen, 48, of Everett appeared in Everett District Court on Sunday after he was arrested following the shooting death of a friend early Saturday.
Bowen is being investigated for second-degree murder. He was released from the Snohomish County Jail on Saturday afternoon on $100,000 bail.
Police found a 45-year-old man critically wounded in Bowen’s home about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of Harrison Avenue, Everett police Sgt. Boyd Bryant said.
The man died from his injuries shortly before 10 a.m. at Providence Everett Medical Center’s Colby campus. The man’s name had not been released as of Sunday.
Neighbors said Bowen and the other man were longtime friends. They had been at a small party down the street Friday night celebrating Bowen’s birthday, neighbors said.
Everett police are continuing their investigation.
