EVERETT — The city and port of Everett will host a tree-lighting celebration on the waterfront Saturday night.
The free program begins at 5 p.m. at Port Gardner Landing at W. Marine View Drive and 15th Street (near Lombardi’s Restaurant). The ceremony will last an hour and include free hot chocolate, cookies, the lighting of a holiday tree, singing entertainment and a visit from Santa.
The tree-lighting coincides with the Everett Yacht Club’s annual lighted boat parade, which can also be viewed from Grand Avenue park. Volunteers of America and Toys for Tots will join the lighting ceremony at the landing to accept food and toy donations.
