Washington State Patrol troopers are investigating the scene of a fatal accident off northbound Highway 529 between Everett and Marysville this morning.
The driver, a 38-year-old Everett woman, was found dead inside the Dodge Durango, according to a statement released by trooper Keith Leary, a State Patrol spokesman.
It appears the vehicle left the roadway just after 3 a.m. Troopers are investigating the cause. It is unknown if alcohol was a factor.
Traffic on Highway 529 was light this morning and was not expected to be affected by the investigation, Leary said.
