EVERETT — An Everett woman shot multiple times early Saturday morning likely was hit by mistake, police say.
“We don’t believe she was the intended target,” Everett police officer Aaron Snell said Monday.
The woman, 56, told officers she was lying on her couch at a duplex in the 2200 block of Fulton Street when she heard what she thought were fireworks outside. When she got up to look, she discovered that she had been shot. She was listed in stable condition Monday at a local hospital.
Police are investigating what led to the shooting, which was reported shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday.
