MONROE — The Evergreen State Fair had more visitors this summer than ever before.
Throughout the 12-day fair, 350,761 people passed through the gates. That broke the previous record of 348,630, set in 2014.
Luis Sanchez, of Everett, was guest No. 348,631. He and his family received prizes including food, ride tickets and coupons.
The success of the fair goes beyond numbers, spokeswoman Brielle Dodge said. This year, the fair theme was all about memories made.
The 2018 Evergreen State Fair is set for Aug. 23 to Sept. 3. The theme for the 110th event is “Summer Days and Country Ways.”
