A former Everett cabdriver was sentenced to 20 months in prison Monday for a sexual attack on a female passenger and for indecent exposure.
Abdul-Rahim Al-Rikabi, 42, recently pleaded guilty to the July 30, 2002, attack.
Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Ellen Fair accepted deputy prosecutor Lisa Paul’s recommendation to give him the high end of the sentencing range. Defense attorney Ann Frost said her client only asked for mercy of the court.
Al-Rikabi had been under investigation in connection with complaints by several women about his conduct. They alleged that he sexually touched them, exposed himself or propositioned them for sex.
In court papers, Paul said the defendant had possession of a black book that contained, among other things, women’s phone numbers.
