Volunteers quench thirst at Sultan festival
Volunteers from Crosswater Community Church recently helped quench the thirst of people attending the Sultan Shindig festival in Sultan.
Roughly 200 volunteers helped hand out more than 4,000 bottles of water, ran popcorn machines and held a raffle.
They also handed out prizes such as tickets to the Pacific Science Center in Seattle; a coffee gift basket; Seahawks tickets; and camping supplies.
Jon Merwin, Crosswater’s senior pastor, said his church simply wanted to show people Jesus’ love through simple acts.
$37,000 for Monroe Christian music artist

Ranstrom is in the intensive care unit at Kindred Care in Seattle. He remains in a coma resulting from heart failure he experienced nearly five weeks ago.
His mother, Barb Ranstrom, reported that family members continue to pray for the miracle of Ranstrom waking up from his coma.
