St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church presents a concert featuring The Welsh Choir of Southern California 7 p.m. Friday at 1318 Highway 532, Camano Island.
The Los Angeles-based choir plans to present its repertoire “Wandering through Wales, A Magical Tour of Wales in Word and Song.”
The choir will be accompanied by Andrew Scott, a Los Angeles tenor; Naomi Kato, a Seattle harpist; Tim Helming, a Puget Sound-area percussionist; and Linda Slade, a Welsh-born Los Angeles actress as narrator. Director Frank Williams will be accompanied by organist Hojun Lee.
The concert features traditional Welsh favorites and many new arrangements.
Suggested donation is $12 adults; $10 for students, seniors and military. Children under 12 are free.

Independence Day
Christian Faith Center invites the public to Freedom Northwest, an Independence Day celebration following its 9:30 and 11:45 a.m. services June 29 at 13000 21st Drive SE, Everett.
Pastors Casey and Wendy Treat are scheduled to lead the events.
The celebration includes patriotic music, a “thunderous indoor Harley parade” and a family picnic in the field across from the center’s main building.
Prices vary for food. Proceeds from the event go toward the youth ministry.

CAMPS
A summer horsemanship camp is offered at Warm Beach Christian Camps beginning Sunday.
The weekly camps include quality horsemanship instruction taught by certified staff plus trail rides, chapel, campfires, showmanship and vaulting. Skill level classes for ages 10 and older will be offered.

St. Cecilia Catholic Church presents The Rain Forest Adventure vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon. Monday through Friday at the church, 26900 78th Ave. NW, Stanwood.
Activities include rainforest music, crafts, outdoor sports, Bible stories and role-Âplaying skits. Programs are geared for youth in preschool to fifth grade. The cost is $15 per child.

W-Bar-B Ranch summer youth camps start June 29.
Fourth- through sixth-graders and seventh- through ninth-graders are invited for a wagonload of Western fun.
Activities include horseback riding, swimming, archery, rocket launching, mountain boards, a climbing tower and a high-adventure ropes course. A horsemanship training elective allows campers to improve their riding skills.
Vaulting Camp is set for June 29 to July 5. The equestrian vaulting camp is designed for concentrated instruction for beginners through gold level competitors. Vaulting coach Patti Skipton, who coached the U.S. vaulting team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, brings instructional ability recognized at the national level.
In addition to camps, weekly vaulting lessons for all skill levels are available throughout the year. Lessons include groundwork, practice on a vaulting barrel and vaulting on a horse.

Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church presents a series of summer youth camps.
A volleyball camp is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon, Monday to Thursday for girls ages 9 to 13.
The cost is $30 per child and includes a shirt.
The basic skills camp includes work on passing, serving, hitting, blocking and setting with age-matched scrimmages.
The program includes Bible stories, puppets, crafts, games, snacks and contemporary sing-along music.

The Salvation Army of Everett and Snohomish County presents summer youth camps.
A Discovery Camp is scheduled for June 30 to July 4 for youth ages 8 to 12.
A Tahoma Expedition Camp is scheduled for July 12 to 16 for youth ages 13 to 16.
Both camps are at Camp Arnold at Timberlake, 33712 Webster Road E., Eatonville.
