Festival

North Creek Presbyterian Church is planning its 19th Annual Egyptian Festival 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 13.

Souvenirs from Egypt and Christian books and educational literature will be for sale. A dinner also will be available, featuring falafel, Egyptian kofta and a dessert. The dinner is $12 for adults and $7 for kids.

The event will be sponsored by St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church.

Luncheon

The Mill Creek Christian Women’s Connection has scheduled a luncheon from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 11.

The luncheon theme, “Pamper Yourself,” will offer an informational presentation on In Spa at in the Mill Creek Town Center. Men and women are invited to attend with reservations. Cancellations are required by Oct. 9.

The luncheon will take place at the Mill Creek Country Club, 15500 Country Club Drive, Mill Creek.

Health fair

The City of Refuge Christian Church has scheduled a free health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at 4411 76th St. NE, Marysville.

The fair will provide information and advice on high blood pressure; breast cancer; HPV, the virus that can cause cervical cancer; and other topics.

Pancake breakfast

The South Everett Lions Club plans its annual fall pancake breakfast for 8 a.m. to noon today at Cascade View Presbyterian Church, 1030 E. Casino Road, Everett. Tickets are $6, and children under 5 eat free.

Women’s events

The Trinity Lutheran Church MOPS — Mothers Of Preschoolers — group has begun its 2007-08 year. This group is open to all mothers with children newborn through kindergarten age.

TLC MOPS meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2324 Lombard Ave., Everett.

The MOMS Club of Snoho­mish has a monthly meeting open to all mothers looking for fun and support. The MOMS Club is an international, nonprofit support group for mothers who stay at home with their children, including those who have home-based businesses or who work part-time but are home with their children during the day. The club offers a range of activities including play groups, books clubs and special daytime events geared toward children.

The MOMS club meets at 10 a.m. Tuesdays at Mountain View Community Church, 12033 Seattle Hill Road, Snohomish.

Torah classes

Torah classes and discussions for practicing Jews or those who wish to learn more about their faith take place at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Chabad Jewish Center of Snohomish County, 19 W. Intercity Ave., Everett. Free for adults and teenagers with parents’ permission.

Support groups

GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people grieving the death of someone close. GriefShare groups meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays at Church of the Nazarene, 8240 64th St. NE, Marysville.
