Pastor installation: Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Arlington will hold the installation service for the Rev. Scott Summers, its new pastor, at 4 p.m. Sunday. Summers, who came from a church in Woodburn, Ore., is a married father of two, and a graduate of Washington State University and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, Calif. Bible speakers in Snohomish: Zion Lutheran Church will host missionaries David and Valerie Federitz from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday at 331 Union Ave., Snohomish. Unity Church talk: The Rev. Ann Thomas, a guest speaker, will present the lesson at the 10 a.m. service Sunday at Everett Unity Church of Positive Living. The subject is “The Sound of Trumpets,” and her talk will use the biblical story to show steps for overcoming major challenges. Thomas recently retired after 22 years as minister of Lynnwood Unity Church. She serves on the ethics review team of Unity Worldwide Ministries, and is judiciary representative for the region. Stanwood United Methodist Church: Sunday worship times are changing. Starting Sunday, the contemporary, casual service will be at 10:45 a.m. The traditional service, in the sanctuary with organ and piano, will move to 9 a.m. Sunday.
